Summary:  Every personal injury claimant submits medical records and bills to support their claim.  Those records and bills hold a wealth of information.  From unusual ICD-10 codes, health insurance information,  and pre-existing prescriptions, all of this information is hiding in plain sight if you know where to look.  In this presentation, we will look at several claims and identify clues found in the medical records and bills.

Presenter:  Tammy Noyes Renkawitz, SIUMedical Specialist, Hanover Insurance

Also for NEIASIU members only, it is that time of the year again that we are conducting our elections for the 2020-21 NEIASIU year. Therefore, if you are interested in running for a position on the board or if you know of anyone else that would be interested that you would like to nominate, please provide their name, company he/she works for and their position at that company. Also include a brief bio as well.  Please make sure if you are running for a position you check with your manager to ensure that you would be allowed to serve on the board. On that same note, if you are nominating someone, please make sure he/she knows of the nomination and again have them check with management to see if they would be allowed to serve on the Board.  Please note that only current Directors can move into Officers positions but anyone else is welcome to nominate themselves or someone else for a Director's position.

Also, please keep in mind that in accordance with NEIASIU bylaws, there is only one (1) vote per company so please discuss this with your colleagues from your individual company when voting.  We will have to conduct the voting on line so once we have all the nominations, we will send out an official ballot to vote. Please reply to this email and respond with all nominations and your company designee/email address for voting by September 18, 2020 to  If we do not receive a company voting designee, your company will not be included in the online voting survey. which will be sent out by October 5, 2020 and due on October 9, 2020.  Elected board members will be announced during the October meeting.
